This procedure involves separating fast-moving sperm from slower ones using specialized sperm sorting techniques and then placing the selected sperm directly into the woman’s uterus during ovulation.

Initial Consultation:

Ovarian Stimulation & Monitoring
Administration of hormonal medications to stimulate the ovaries to produce multiple eggs, followed by pelvic ultrasound scans (typically up to three) to monitor ovulation timing.
Sperm Preparation
Collection and laboratory processing of a semen sample from the partner or a donor to select healthy, motile sperm.
Insemination
Insertion of the prepared sperm directly into the uterus using a thin catheter; this procedure is quick and usually painless.
Follow-Up
A blood pregnancy test conducted approximately two weeks after the procedure to confirm pregnancy.
Ovarian Stimulation (10–14 days)
This is the period during which you will be on medication to stimulate the ovaries to produce eggs.
Ovulation Induction
Once the follicles reach the appropriate size, an injection of human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) is given to trigger ovulation.
